Hey Sweeties,
Last Thursday evening I had the pleasure of being invited to try out the new spring menu at The Elephant at the Market in Newbury*.
Last week I, with a handful of other local bloggers and our respective plus ones (in my case, my husband), attended an evening at Giraffe World Kitchen, located in Festival Place in Basingstoke. I was literally saying to my husband a few weeks ago about how I/we hadn’t been to a Giraffe restaurant in ages, years even, and then low and behold an email popped into my inbox!
Giraffe World Kitchen is having an exciting new rebrand and to celebrate, I (and others) had been invited in order to sample food and drinks from the delicious menu!
Hey Sweeties,
As I mentioned in my last post (here), I said that as I have gotten older I prefer to spend my money on services and experiences, and this also applies to gifts. I live away from my family and most of my friends and so for me, I love to give and receive the gift of time and share in something as opposed to having a gift that will just take up more space (but that’s not to say I am ungrateful for the presents I receive). For Christmas I was really lucky to receive two afternoon tea vouchers, one from my friend that I still need to book, and this Sparkling Afternoon Tea for Two at the Tower Hotel London, that I am reviewing for you today.
Hey Sweeties,
On a recent idyllic autumnal Sunday, my husband, my in-laws and I went for afternoon tea at Stoke Place, a 17th-century country house venue located in Buckinghamshire. I had been lucky enough to win a voucher for afternoon tea at Stoke Place in a raffle and it was the perfect way to spend an autumnal Sunday.
Hey Sweeties,
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to try out the newly opened Bill’s* restaurant in Bracknell’s new shopping complex, The Lexicon. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between, Bill’s has a wide range of seasonal fare on offer, including a brand new autumn menu.
I have only been to Bill’s restaurant once or twice before (and I think both times in Windsor), as often trying to get in on a weekend has proved a bit of a mission sometimes, so I was excited to be invited to try out the new restaurant in Bracknell. Also, Bracknell as a place is somewhere I haven’t really had much of a chance to properly visit, so I was keen to see what The Lexicon shopping complex offered local residents and visitors from (slightly) further afield like me.
