Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Day and Night Cream Review

Hey Sweeties,

I have been so eager to tell you about these two creams I have recently discovered from Dr Organic, so I am excited for today’s post.

A few months ago in a recent shop in Holland & Barrett, I got given a selection of samples of the day and night creams from Dr Organic. Seeing that the formula of the creams included coconut oil, I knew I not only had to give them a try, but expectations were already high for whether I would like them or not… and I wasn’t disappointed so I have since purchased the full sized products.

Following a few months of regularly receiving beauty boxes, I have a small collection of facial oils that I love using, but only do so during my evening routine so that the oil has time to really absorb into my skin and work its magic. I find using facial oils in the morning, unless it’s a weekend and I’m not piling on makeup soon after, not the most beneficial to my skin… or more accurately, the base of my makeup. That being said, now we’re into the autumn and soon winter months, my skin needs all the hydration it can get and so oil based skincare products are now something I can better incorporate.

Both Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Day and Night creams are free from: Parabens, SLS, Synthetic colours, Phthalates, Petrolatum, Glycols, DEA, BHT, Isothiazolinones, mineral oil, and silicones.

The Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Day & Night creams are fabulous, and they don’t break the bank, in fact far from it. The creams are a rich, creamy formula (the night cream being slightly thicker in consistency), and my skin feels instantly better moisturised following application and the coconut oil ingredient is really identifiable. While I fell in love with the night cream first, saving the day cream for weekends, I’ve actually found I can use the day cream during the week because it’s fast absorbing, and I don’t feel it makes my makeup slip off during the day; it just leaves a beautiful hydrated base.

I think users similar to me who like using facial oils, but maybe don’t like the feeling of your skin being overpowered with oil, will absolutely adore these creams from Dr Organic. For me it’s the perfect balance between a good thick moisturising cream, and a good facial oil; the two elements work very harmoniously together creating that perfect combination in one (or two) easy product(s).

Retailing for £8.99 (I picked up the second tub half price in a special deal), the Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Day & Night creams are very affordable, and of a decent high quality which I heartily recommend.

How does your skincare change in autumn and winter months?

Until next time x

    Hi Clarie,
some time ago, my friends talking about Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil cream. I am very enthusiastic about listening, but I’m still hesitant to try the cream. Finally I found your article and after I read, I felt compelled to try Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil cream. Because I really like cosmetics made from natural materials.
    Finally, thanks for the review
