Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey Sweeties,

I feel like I haven’t bought any new makeup in ages and part of this is because while I love building a decent collection of makeup, I am definitely in a phase (which applies to other areas of my life) whereby I just don’t want to spend money unless I really need to. Of course I still spend money but I really do think about that purchase and if I really need it in my life. I’ve got a post on this coming soon whereby I talk through this more, but I did purchase a couple of new beauty bits recently and the first I am going to talk to you about is the Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen.

The Packaging

Beginning with the packaging, the Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen is really pleasing to the eye; the eyeliner pen itself comes in the cardboard tube packaging which has classic Soap & Glory branding on the sides.

The Eyeliner Pen Nib

Until recently, I have been using the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner (review here) which while wasn’t my favourite, it introduced me to the eyeliner pen style and it has changed my application of eyeliner; it just makes achieving that accurate line and wing flick so easy!

The nib on the Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen is like a fine felt tip pen and while I was a little sceptical as to whether I would achieve a decent line, I was pleasantly surprised. It is thicker in application than the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner,  but if you like a definite line to your eyeliner, then this product would definitely be worth a shot. It retails at £6 (in Boots) so perfectly affordable, and certainly a lot nicer price wise than the Stila eyeliner pen.

Eyeliner Pen Application

As you can see from the above swatch of the product on my hand, and the below image with the eyeliner on, you can see how smooth it applies. While I have worn eyeliner pretty consistently since my early teens, it’s only in the last few years that I have really mastered application and been able to draw on eyeliner without always holding down my eyelid with a finger to achieve a good line.

As it currently stands, I will definitely be continuing to use this eyeliner and likely repurchasing it in the future. Have you guys tried the Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen? What did you think?

Until next time x
