I haven’t tried many sheet masks, preferring a mud/clay formula if I am honest. So I was intrigued and excited to give this new charcoal sheet mask a go from Procoal.

I was recently very kindly sent three products from the Pure Potions Skin Salvation range* which includes an ointment, a moisturising cream, and a hand cream to try out and review for you guys. The products are all cruelty free and 100% natural. However, owing to the ointment containing beeswax in its formula, only the moisturising cream and hand cream are vegan.
This a deep moisturiser, also suitable for people with dry, itchy skin and people prone to eczema. Rich, deeply moisturising and restorative. Skin Salvation forms a semi-occlusive barrier which protects the skin from external irritants.
The Pure Potions Skin Salvation Moisturising Ointment is not only an essential product for sufferers of dry skin, but its also one of those products with multiple uses. Here are some examples –
Cuticle balm; sore noses; eye make-up remover; nappy balm; cracked heels; itchy patches; lip balm; post shaving/waxing… and the list goes on.
I have so far just used this ointment on my lips and it makes them beautifully soft instantly; it’s a great product to apply before bed so it can really do its magic overnight, and I think it’ll be a godsend over the colder months when lips chap and dry out. This product is very much like Vaseline.
These two products, which are arguably easier to use on the basis that its uses are clearer (face, body, hands), contain all the nourishing benefits of the Pure Potions Skin Salvation Moisturising Ointment.
I first started trying the Daily Moisturising Cream on my face but to be honest, it was okay but I have other products that are nicer to use on that area. For arms, body, legs, feet… the moisturiser does the job fine.
The Intensive Hand Cream is easy to apply, quick to absorb and leaves hands feeling fresh and nourished. There’s nothing more annoying than a hand cream that takes forever to absorb and leaves hands feeling sticky, this one from Pure Potions is uncomplicated and does the job, ideal for households and/or on your desk.
All three of these products, while nothing to really rave about if I am honest, are the sort of products essential to the family cupboard of useful things; everyone has a cupboard or a draw with plasters, medication, lotions etc. and owing to the nature of this moisturiser, hand cream and ointment, these are ideal to have in that very location, for times of need, particularly if you have a family.

I have another new product from Dr Botanicals to show you that I think you are going to LOVE! You’ll remember that not too long ago I reviewed the Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil that I still adore using, and staying with the Moroccan Rose theme today I have the pleasure of showing you the new Moroccan Rose & Shea Butter Body Cream*.
Hey Sweeties,
Following my recent opportunity to try out The Body Shop’s new colour crush matte lipstick in 429 Osaka Plum (here), and the matte lip liquid in 022 Paris Peony (here), I now have the pleasure of reviewing two makeup brushes from The Body Shop; the contouring brush*, and the point highlighter brush*.
The first thing to note is their appearance, both brushes (which are of course cruelty-free) have super soft synthetic bristles and gorgeous wooden handles which are incredibly dreamy to look at and hold. As you guys know, I have a fairly large collection of makeup brushes (here) and on appearance, the contouring brush and point highlighter brush both make a welcome addition.
Hey Sweeties,
Following last week’s review of the new Colour Crush Matte Lipstick in shade 429, Osaka Plum, I am excited to talk to you today about the second new lipstick range soon to be hitting The Body Shop -the Matte Lip Liquid.
While I adore The Body Shop for their cruelty free skincare and shower gels, scrubs etc. I haven’t tried much of their makeup so I was excited to give two new products from each range a go; today I am reviewing the shade 022 Paris Peony*.
