Hey Sweeties,
In today’s post I am delighted to introduce to you Forge & Foster*, a growing online accessories brand based in London. These guys take their design inspiration from high-end fashion and create luxury products for men and women at high street prices without compromising on quality, aiming to create timeless, classic British aesthetic with a modern design that can be worn on any occasion.
Forge & Foster have been kind enough to send me the classic 40mm rose and mesh watch* from their new collection of women’s watches to review and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Forge & Foster Rose and Mesh Watch
The Packaging
When investing in a new piece of jewellery, or any kind of fashion piece or luxury purchase, the packaging is almost as integral to the item itself I think, whether ordered online and it arrives in the mail, or if you purchase it in person and the store wraps it up and presents it in an elegant retail bag that you can proudly carry home. The packaging needs to be on par with the item, and the unwrapping/boxing needs to be special and an exciting experience.
The rose and mesh watch from Forge & Foster arrived in the mail securely boxed and beautifully presented inside once opened up, it certainly didn’t disappoint!
A minimalist look with a polished rose gold case & detailing combined with a beautiful rose gold mesh strap that can be worn for any occasion.
Everything about the appearance of the rose and mesh watch from Forge & Foster is beautiful, it was definitely love at first sight.
I remember in my teens I loved silver based jewellery and I could never imagine liking anything else. Then in the last few years as I have left my twenties and entered my thirties, I have grown a real love for (rose) gold which has surprised me.
Trying it on for Size
The rose and mesh watch arrived slightly too big for my wrist unfortunately, so before I could wear it to accessorise some outfits, I needed to get the fitting on the strap adjusted. As it turned out, this was extremely easy and quick to do (literally minutes) so if you find yourself in a similar position, your local jeweller or watch repair shop can do this for you.
As you can (hopefully) see from the photos, the watch fastens with a relatively simple looking clasp. The first couple of times you try to put the watch on it can appear a bit fiddly, but once you’ve got the hang of it, the watch fastens securely and I’ve yet to have that fear it’ll loosen and/or ping off my wrist.
Final Thoughts
I literally adore this rose and mesh watch from Forge & Foster, it’s modern and grown up in style, looks stunning with pretty much anything, and is very comfortable to wear. I would have no hesitation in recommending both the brand, and this watch if you are seeking something special to treat yourself, or a loved one to… so what are you waiting for?
Do you love watches? What is your favourite type of fashion accessory?
Until next time x
