There are three key moments in my 31 years that I have experienced failure. At the time and even up to the present day, these moments have been integral to me learning more about myself, and strengthening my inner being.
I hate failing with a passion, I don’t find it comfortable but I do believe we need to fail in life and learn from those experiences.

I am currently sat here typing this, the day after what was honestly the best day spent in glorious Windsor, having witnessed the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Windsor also has a very special place in my heart because aside from the fact that I spend many weekends there, it was also the place of my own wedding day a couple of years ago.

Cast your minds back to your school days and I can almost guarantee you will remember at least one of your class mates (possibly it might even have been you) that came into class with their school bag dripping wet; all their books fudged to mush because their stupid water bottle leaked. Yep, I remember it well because it happened to me at least more than once. I specifically remember one time having to approach my English teacher with my soggy, ruined copy of Macbeth that my mum had to pay to replace. Many things you leave behind once you finish school but the fear of leaky water bottles has never left me and to this day I approach water bottles in my bag with extreme caution.
So, when an email recently landed in my inbox claiming that the Ion8 Water Bottle is 100 percent leak proof 100 percent of the time, I was like, “yeah whatever, prove it!”
I am a big fan of flowers, both in the home and outdoors. So, when I recently got the opportunity to review a luxury flower bouquet for Cancer Research UK Flowers, where 25 percent of the cost of the bouquet is donated to Cancer Research UK to fund research into beating cancer, it seemed like the perfect match.
It never fails to overwhelm me that whatever else may be going on in our lives, people still donate, often generously, to charity. My family, friends, acquaintances and colleagues, and myself included, all donate money to causes close to our hearts on a rolling monthly basis, as well as donating to the larger national campaigns such as Children in Need, and Sport Relief etc.
Coffee has become my morning staple so I was delighted to be introduced recently to Rombouts*, especially if you’re like me and can barely function before their first cup of coffee in the morning.
It sounds terrible but really this is the case for so many of us; my priority on a weekday is to get up, shower, get dressed, do my makeup and head to work. I like to get my laptop fired up and Outlook opened and quickly browse my emails before I head to the kitchen for a cup of coffee and some breakfast.
I actually notice that if this routine is interrupted or delayed at all, I can quickly slip into an irritated mood so my motto literally is: but first, coffee!
The weekends for me though are for enjoying coffee. At home I’ll use my Nespresso machine, and I love going out for coffee, taking the time to sit in a coffee shop and read a book, people watch or whatever.
