Easter in the Home: Some Fun and Decorative Ways to Celebrate

Hey Sweeties,

Spring and Easter for me are all about colour, and introducing a freshness into the home after a long, cold, dark and groggy winter. As the hours get longer, I am all about getting outside as much as possible. This time of year is also really special because in 2016 I got married and every now and again (like this year) our anniversary will fall on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. On my wedding day I introduced some Easter themed ideas into our special day.

Easter in the Home: Some Fun And Decorative Ways to Celebrate

Spring and Easter is without a doubt my favourite time of year, as soon as daffodil stems start to surface in my garden my heart does a little leap with excitement. I appreciate all the seasons in their unique ways, but as I have made it clear before (here), it really drives me crazy how people are just constantly focused on times ahead, instead of enjoying the now. For me, spring and Easter trump Christmas and I am excited to make more and more of this time of year as and when I have children, nephews and nieces (God willing) to celebrate it with. So with that all in mind, I thought I would share in this post, some fun and decorative ways to celebrate Easter in the home.

Let’s begin with…

Spring Flowers

It doesn’t really matter what time of year it is, I love flowers all year round, whether they be arranged in vases in my home, or outside growing in the garden, and local green spaces. Bunches of tulips, daffodils and other spring flowers are the perfect way to bring spring into the home and look beautiful in the centre of the table as you all gather round for an Easter lunch.

Pom Poms

Easter at home

I recently purchased a couple of pom pom makers and while I still need to learn how to create the perfect pom pom (it’s a definite craft), I am obsessed. It’s so easy to spend an evening curled up on the sofa, making pom poms while watching Netflix.

Pom poms are such an easy way to add some fun and colour to pretty much anything… clothing, accessories, the home, and none more so than at Easter; pom pom chains are spring’s tinsel!

Easter Crafts

This is better applicable I think when you have little ones to entertain and get excited for Easter, but there are some great ideas to adopt and/or inspire you for some fun creative activities. Take a look at my dedicated Pinterest board.

Easter Egg Hunts

Technically this is for children but I totally think adults can get behind this too and honestly the thought of getting involved in an Easter egg hunt thrills me.

As soon as the Easter eggs hit the shelves, they pretty much start being added into my trolley too (hey, it’s chocolate for £1 alright?!)… I also recently attended a Chocolates for Chocoholics workshop (here) which couldn’t have been better timed!

In writing this fun post about creating Easter in the home, I can feel my excitement continuing to build and I just know that in years to come this will be such a family filled time of year for me.

How do you celebrate Easter in the home?

Until next time x
