Marzipan is something I have always loved, particularly in the Christmas cake Mum would make each year. I would steal any leftovers that didn’t make it onto the cake, and always peel the marzipan layer away from the fruit cake and remove the icing so I could enjoy it on its own. I loved its almond taste and the texture, as a child I would often mold marzipan into something before devouring it little by little. Oh memories!
With my marzipan confession in mind, you can imagine how eager I was to receive the Niederegger marzipan Christmas hamper*!

1 x 110g Classic dark chocolate covered marzipan bar
1 x 100g Assorted mini marzipan loaves
2 x 40g Chocolate covered marzipan sticks (randomly selected from Dark, Milk, Amarena Cherry, Walnut)
1 x 125g Flavour of the Year Apple Strudle
1 x 100g Dark chocolate covered Santa
The two chocolate covered marzipan sticks in the hamper were the Amarena cherry, and the walnut and rum flavours.
My husband and I had great pleasure in trying all the different chocolate coated marzipan treats and for sure this Christmas hamper will appeal to any marzipan fan.
